Management Program Coverage Area
Alpena Hardboard is located in Alpena, Michigan on the banks of Thunder
Bay (Lake Huron) and the Thunder Bay River as it enters Lake Huron on Michigan’s
northeast lower peninsula. Pulpwood for the plant is generally procured from a radial
region centered in Alpena. This area includes Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Charlevoix,
Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda, Presque Isle, and
Roscommon Counties, however any landowner is welcome to contact us and we will decide if
the property qualifies based on location and species composition.
